Panoramic view of the center of Bukhara around the Kalyan minaret (nearly 46 m hight and build in the early 12th century!). In the background of the minaret the Mir-i Arab Madressa and the Kaylan mosque (both 16th century) are visible. The center of Bukhara (also calloed Buchara or Buxoro) is listed as UNESCO World Heritage Site. Bukhara was one of the most important oasis and place of caravanserais at the Great Silk Road.
