Palermo, Sicily, Italy - 23 September 2019 Fontana Pretoria - the Praetorian Fountain is a once-impressive renaissance fountain of in the heart of Sicily's capital, Palermo. This fountain did not start life here - it was built by Francesco Camilliani in the city of Florence in 1554, before being transferred to Palermo in 1574. Now it, and the fading, shabby buildings of Piazza Pretoria, have definitely seen better days; the occasional limbs and other parts keep embarrassingly keep dropping off.
