Ying Tian Men is the main south gate of the palatial city - Ziwei City of Luoyang City during the Sui and Tang Dynasties, commonly known as the Five Phoenix Tower. It was originally built in the first year of the Daye era of the Sui Dynasty (605) and was originally named Ze Tian Men. In the first year of the Shenlong era (705), its name was changed to Ying Tian Men to avoid the taboo of Empress Wu Zetian. In 2016, the protection and display project of the Ying Tian Men ruins started, with an investment of approximately 210 million yuan. It was designed by Professor Guo Daiheng from Tsinghua University. In September 2019, the Ying Tian Men Ruins Museum was officially opened to the public. By the end of the same year, it successfully applied for the national AAAA-level tourist scenic area.
