She recently underwent planned abdominal surgery at a private hospital in the capital, royal officials stated on Thursday (Jan 14.) Kate, 42, the wife of heir to the throne Prince William, had been admitted to the private London Clinic on Tuesday (Jan. 16). The surgery was reported to be successful, but it was revealed that Princess Kate Middleton is expected to remain hospitalized for approximately 10 to 14 days to ensure a smooth recovery before returning home. Current medical advice suggests that the Princess will not be able to resume her Royal Family duties until after Easter, according to the statement issued by Kensington Palace. In response to the public's anticipated interest, the statement included a note from the Princess of Wales expressing her appreciation and hope for understanding. She emphasized the importance of maintaining normalcy for her children and requested confidentiality regarding her personal medical information. As a result, Kensington Palace announced that updates on Her Majesty's progress would only be provided in the case of significant new developments.
